Police raid culminates in drug charges against Pennsylvania man

Battling a drug charge can be very stressful and is often confusing. An experienced legal team can help to enlighten Pennsylvania residents facing drug charges as to what their rights are. A 25-year-old man is this situation at the moment after having been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, among other charges in connection with a recent apartment raid by police.

Narcotics officers say they seized drugs and thousands of dollars in cash in a Wilkes-Barre residence recently. Reportedly, among the drugs were more than 12,000 doses of fentanyl. When police arrested the accused after pulling over his vehicle, he allegedly had more than 320 bags of fentanyl and $1,750 in cash on him. When they searched his apartment, cops allege they found the fentanyl ,which would have been equivalent to 12,000 doses worth about $42,000.

Police said they also seized heroin, crystal meth, scales, cellphones, packing materials, stampers and distribution materials. They also allegedly found a public assistance access card in the accused man's name. Police are calling this a large scale drug operation.

Being charged with a felony such as some connected to drug charges needs the help of an experienced Pennsylvania defense attorney. A lawyer will review all evidence and assess whether his or her client was taken into custody under the rules of the law. These charges must be fought aggressively to secure the best outcome possible, whether that means having the charges dropped or fighting for lighter consequences in the event of a conviction.
