Drug charges laid on man for alleged dealing, manufacturing

A 29-year-old man is facing charges relating to drug dealing and manufacturing. The accused will need to enlist the help of an experienced legal team to battle the drug charges filed against him. Pennsylvania has some of the most rigid consequences for those convicted of these serious crimes. Police say they seized an undetermined amount of narcotics and drug paraphernalia from the home of the accused.

The man is accused of not only selling drugs like ecstasy, but also of manufacturing them. Police also allegedly found the prescription medication OxyContin along with 5 pounds of marijuana, methamphetamine pills and powder. Cops also seized what they believe to be fentanyl.

Pennsylvania is one of more than 40 states whose attorneys general are investigating the motives behind pharmaceutical companies and opioid addiction. OxyContin and Percocet are two of the most widely misused and illegally sold drugs in the United States and are thought to have fuelled the illegal sale of other drugs in their class. Meanwhile, the accused in this case is awaiting his fate in jail.

Pennsylvania residents who are facing drug charges have the right to speak with an attorney who can offer advice on how best to fight the charges. A lawyer will go over what transpired before, during and after a client's arrest and assess whether there was probable cause to bring any charges. Repercussions of being convicted for selling or possessing drugs can affect a person for the rest of his or her life. An attorney may be able to assist a client to fight the charges with viable defenses.
